About Us

Mission Statement

Hospice of Wyandot County exists to provide an alternative to acute care for the terminally ill and their families.  The focus is to provide support and care for persons in the last phases of an incurable disease so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible.  Hospice affirms life, however, acknowledges death as a normal event.

Hospice is not about dying; it’s about how you live.  Hospice does not have the power to shorten or prolong life, but the power to live it as we choose.

For over 28 years, Hospice of Wyandot County has been delivering excellent professional care to our community; provided by people you know and trust… a neighbor, a classmate, your friend. We believe being a smaller, community-oriented hospice holds us to a higher standard than the larger hospices. Knowledgeable, dependable, ethical and genuine are a few of our team-shared core values. We are committed and passionate about what we do, and enthusiastically “go the extra mile” for our patients, families and community.

Ours is a team-oriented approach that addresses all aspects of comfort; excellent medical care, pain management, emotional, social and spiritual support; ALWAYS acknowledging that our patients and families wishes come first.  We coordinate an individual, specific plan of care (POC) based on the unique issues affecting each patient.
